The equipment is the same across all of them — oil-filled transformers, load tap changers, SF6 and oil circuit breakers, disconnect switches, voltage regulators, reclosers — and so is the underlying problem: parts get discontinued, OEMs exit the market, and lead times for new equipment stretch to 18 months or longer. SSC exists to close that gap.
Investor-owned utilities and cooperatives come to us for refurbished switch components and obsolete replacement parts that keep aging fleet equipment in service through the next rate case. Industrial and commercial operators face the same reality: a plant substation that trips because a 30-year-old breaker part is unavailable costs more in downtime than a machined replacement ever will.
