The UGOR
Our Universal Gear Operator Replacement is the flagship of the machine shop. It replaces any traditional gear operator with no modification to the existing structure, with 36:1 or 62:1 gear reduction and a slew drive. The UGOR is in service on investor-owned and municipal utility systems in Florida and the Southeast.

Antiquated distribution disconnect feeding a stadium site. Repeated solder repairs had failed. Southern Switch machined silver inserts for both moving arm and stationary contacts, refurbished the full switch, and returned it in under 24 hours.
