About the GE LR65 Load Tap Changer
The General Electric LR65 is a load tap changer used in GE distribution and power transformers for on-load voltage regulation. It uses a selector switch and reversing switch arrangement with an arcing contact to switch between tap positions under load. The high-amp kit configuration covers transformers with elevated load current requirements.
