Southern Switch & Contacts manufactures replacement disconnect switch contacts for Southern States, Cleaveland/Price, Joslyn, Royal, Pascor, ITE, USCO, and other disconnect switch OEMs. We machine contact sets in-house to original dimensional specifications using material that meets or exceeds OEM spec. If your OEM has discontinued the part, that’s when we typically get the call.
Southern States Switch Contacts
Southern States EV, EV1, and EV2 gang-operated air break (GOAB) switches are among the most widely installed disconnect switches across the Southeast, and the EV2 is one we have machined contacts for in volume. We machine the main and arcing contacts to original dimensional spec, in the OEM material or an upgraded alloy where the geometry allows.

Cleaveland/Price Switch Contacts
Cleaveland/Price disconnect switches run at transmission voltages and in vertical-break designs. Where the OEM part is slow to source or no longer stocked, we machine replacement contacts to original dimensions from a worn sample, a drawing, or a documented profile.
Joslyn, Royal, Pascor, ITE & USCO Switch Contacts
We machine replacement disconnect switch contacts for Joslyn, Royal, Pascor, ITE, and USCO switches as well, across distribution and transmission classes. We hold dimensional data on the configurations we have run before, and we work from your sample or drawing on the ones we have not.

We are not limited to this list. If it is a disconnect switch and you can ship us a worn contact, send a drawing, or give us a documented profile, we machine the replacement to original dimensions in our Palm Harbor shop. Discontinued and obsolete OEM parts are where we typically get the call, because that is when the OEM channel has run out.

We can match the OEM material specification exactly or upgrade to a more corrosion-resistant alloy where the geometry allows. For coastal Florida and Gulf Coast utilities, galvanic corrosion is a common failure mode on copper-steel contact assemblies, ask about stainless hardware options.
What We Need to Quote
To get an accurate quote, have the following ready:
- OEM manufacturer and switch model (nameplate or drawings)
- Contact type, main contacts, arcing contacts, or full assembly
- Quantity needed
- Worn sample or drawings if the OEM part number is no longer in the system
We deal with procurement requirements from IOUs, co-ops, and municipal utilities every day. Material certifications, dimensional inspection reports, and Buy American Act compliance documentation are available on request.

Switch Bearing Refurbishment
Switch contacts are one part of the disconnect switch wear package. If the bearings and pivot hardware are also worn, common in any switch that’s been in service 20+ years, we offer switch bearing replacement with upgraded sealed bearings, stainless shafts, and Viton O-rings as part of the same order. Ship us the contact hardware and bearing assemblies together.
