About the Westinghouse UVT 2000
The Westinghouse UVT 2000-amp is a higher-capacity load tap changer used in large utility power transformers where load current exceeds the rating of the UTT and URT designs. Its transfer switch uses a P1, P2, and P3 stationary contact arrangement to carry and transfer current at each tap position. The transfer switch moving contact and P-series stationary contacts are the primary wear components and require inspection at the manufacturer's recommended overhaul interval.
