About the GE LRT68 Load Tap Changer
The General Electric LRT68 is a reactor-type load tap changer used in GE distribution transformers for on-load voltage regulation. Its main moving board and stationary contacts handle tap-changing duty on every operation. Contact face erosion on the moving board increases contact resistance and generates heat that accelerates further wear. Southern Switch refurbishes LRT68 moving boards and machines stationary contacts to OEM specifications.
