Transformer Hardware and Accessory Parts
Transformer maintenance and field repair frequently requires hardware that is no longer stocked by the OEM or carries unacceptable lead times from distribution channels. CT passthrough nuts, valve packing kits, bushing draw lead extensions, and similar hardware items are low-cost parts that can hold up a transformer repair or a return-to-service timeline when they are not immediately available.
Southern Switch machines and stocks common hardware items for ABB, GE, Westinghouse, and Allis-Chalmers transformers, including CT passthrough nuts in 12-wire and 15-wire configurations, ABB valve packing kits, and custom bushing draw lead extensions. The draw lead extension is machined to match the transformer's bushing configuration and conductor size and is a practical path when the OEM extension is discontinued or the delivery timeline does not fit the outage window.
