Overview

Spring for the Allis-Chalmers BZO 138 oil circuit breaker. Machined to OEM spec.

About the Allis-Chalmers BZO-138 Oil Circuit Breaker

The Allis-Chalmers BZO-138 is an oil circuit breaker used in distribution substations for fault interruption and load switching. Its interrupter assembly includes an arcing nozzle, moving contact rod, push rod, spring, spring cap, and stationary contact in both 8-finger and 10-finger configurations. The interrupter components wear through interrupting duty and require replacement at the manufacturer's recommended overhaul interval. Southern Switch stocks the complete interrupter kit and individual components for the BZO-138.

Why replace worn OCB contacts

Pitted or eroded oil-circuit-breaker contacts increase resistance and weaken interruption. Precision replacements restore dependable making and breaking under load.

Stock, lead time & reverse engineering

Common items are produced on short lead times; discontinued or hard-to-find parts are reverse-engineered from a sample, a drawing, or a model number. Based in Palm Harbor, FL, Southern Switch & Contacts manufactures and ships replacement parts to utilities nationwide, and has served the industry since 1982.
