About the Moloney MA1/MB1 Load Tap Changer
The Moloney MA1 and MB1 are updated variants of the MA/MB load tap changer with a revised collector ring and contact geometry. Like the MA/MB, they use a transfer switch, selector switch, and reversing switch arrangement. The transfer switch stationary contacts, collector ring assembly, and selector switch moving contact are the scheduled maintenance items. Southern Switch machines replacement contacts and complete kits for the MA1 and MB1.
